Jimmy is a Practice Manager in charge of the Tax Department and is a holder of B. Com (Hons) Accounting qualification. His experience spans for over 20 years in the field including the Public Sector Audit, International Accountancy and Financial Audit and Tax Consultancy Services.

Madhav is the Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Merali’s a position he has held since 1999 to date. He is a highly qualified expert with MBA in finance, CPAK and FCCA. He has 22 years of experience as an auditor and 20 years as the managing partner at Baker Tilly Merali’s. He has a lot of experience working with various community external aid agencies such as UN, SIDA, Danida, World Bank, NGOs and INGOs.

Rishi, a Partner under the Private Sector department of Baker Tilly, is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountants (UK) and holds the CPA (Certified Public Accountant of Kenya) qualification with extensive experience in financial audit, systems internal controls and asset verification. He has also carried out forensic assignments. He has over 16 year’s professional experience and has led audit teams on large assignments in the region during his time at Merali’s and previously when he was with DCDM Associates (Representing Arthur Andersen.

John is a Partner under the Public Sector department at Baker Tilly and is a registered member of the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK). John has extensive audit experience spanning over 12 years in forensic and investigation audits, financial audits; internal control systems and asset verification. He further possess a thorough knowledge of the best practices in management and also the statutes such as the Public Procurement Acts.

With over 9 years’ experience in audit and assurance, Alex is an Associate Partner in BTM’s Public Sector Group. He joined the firm in 2012 and has led numerous audits and consultancy assignments in Kenya, Somalia, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Alex was part of the team that developed the ICPAK contracted Frameworks for audit of public sector entities as may be outsourced by the Auditor General and the framework for audit of donor funded programes. Alex specialises in the audit of United Nations (UN), European Commission (EC), Swedish International Cooperation Development Agency and Royal Danish Embassy among other donor Agencies. Alex obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Sammy is a Manager at BTM . He is a qualified Accountant holding the Certified Public Accountant of Kenya qualification and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and accounting) degree. He has vast experience in audit and assurance services. He has handled clients in the sectors of tourism and hospitality, construction, manufacturing, trading, investment and not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the regulatory body, ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya).

Gertrude is an experienced auditor and has been with BTM since 2009. She holds a Bachelor degree, Commerce (Accounting option) and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. She has extensive experience in Public Sector audits and has been leading teams in carrying assignments in Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland for donor funded audits including UNICEF, EU, Danida, CARE and UNDP.

Thomas is a Manager at Baker Tilly Merali’s and has worked with the firm for the last four years and is a member of ICPAK and a CPA-K. He has over 7 years’ experience both in Public and Private sector audit with specialty in Systems and Project audits. Among the assignments that he has been part of include; European Union funded project, UNICEF, USAID, UNFPA, UNOPS, UNHCR , NCA , NRC, Care Global Fund. He has also participated in international assignments in several countries among them Uganda, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kingdom of Swaziland, Ethiopia and Botswana.

Daniel is an Assistant Manager at BTM and has been with the firm for 5 years with extensive experience in donor funded project audits, expenditure verification, procurement audits, Institution audits, asset verification and Internal Control Assessments both locally and internationally in several countries among them Uganda, Somalia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. He is a qualified Accountant holding the Certified Public Accountant of Kenya qualification and in addition he has Bachelor of business management (Accounting and his audit experience spans work with International Development Partners, Governments and NGOs. Among the assignments that he has been part of include; European Union, UNICEF, UNHCR, UNFPA, UNWOMEN, UNOCHA, Care Global Fund, SIDA, DANIDA,Norwegian Ministry of foreign affairs.

Jackson Holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance option), he is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya as well as the ISACA, and he has broad experience in project audits. Jackson has over 6 years’ experience and has been with BTM since 2012. He has led teams for various assignments and specifically for; Danish Refugee Council, Norwegian Refugee Council, Mercy Corps, American Refugee Committee, Action African Help International, Gruppo Per Le Relazioni Transculturali, Intersos Italy, Ministry of Interior, Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Resettlement/Rehabilitation. Project audits for CARE international in Kenya and Somalia. He led the team for Capacity Development Project (CDP) of the National Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System / NIMES).

Zachaly has been a member of the firm for seven years under the Private Sector department and is a registered Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and holds a Bachelors of Business Management (Accounting option). His experience in the accounting and auditing field covers both local and international audits where he is involved in financial and pension audits of clients such as Nandi Tea Estates Ltd, Sameer Agriculture and livestock (K) Ltd, Huduma Provident Fund for Kenya National Staff of Catholic Relief Services, Red dot Distribution FZE, Masai Mara Sopa Lodges among others.
